药理学
药理学(pharmacology)是研究药物与机体（包括病原体）之间相互作用及其规律和作用机制的一门学科。药理学（pharmacology ）主要指研究有关使用化学物质治疗疾病时引起机体机能变化机制的学问。德国人施米德贝尔（1838—1921）首创的实验药理学成为近代药理学的基础。药物同毒物有时也难于严密区分，药理学实际上也以毒物为研究对象，因此把药理学中特别关于医药治疗方面的应用作为药物学（原意为药饵学），与以毒物为对象的毒物学（toxicology）相区别。
药理学三大任务(三大范畴)：第一，药理是医学院校必修的一门课，指导临床用药。 第二，评价药物疗效以及在经济上面和其他方面有些什么不同。 第三，药理学是生命科学的重要组成部分。这里面有两个方面：一方面药物通常除了指导临床用药，还有工具药，进一步用于研究，对学术发展有极大的推动作用。
