中国翻译行业2012年井喷

2012年底，《中国语言服务业发展报告2012》正式对外发布。
《报告》显示，随着对外开放水平的提高和国际化程度的加深，我国语言翻译行业得到了迅猛发展。从统计数据来看，截至2011年12月31日，我国语言服务业专职从业人员达119万，其中译员占53.8%，约为64万人。市场规模达1576亿元，与2010年相比增长了26%。
《报告》还根据中国现在所处的国际环境和翻译行业自身的发展趋势预测，我国翻译产业将在2011-2015年期间以年均15%的速度增长。到2015年，翻译机构的年产值将超过2600亿元，专职从业人员将达200万，企业数量有望突破6万。未来几年内，我国的翻译市场需求巨大。
回顾过去，展望未来。在了解了翻译行业的前景后，我们来看看翻译在中国有着怎样的发展历史。
翻译是一项历史悠久的实践活动，专门研究翻译史的马祖毅认为，我国最早的翻译活动可以推算到夏商时期。
从周到清的各个朝代，为了方便和周边各民族和国家的交流，专门设置了有译员的外事机构，比如秦朝的典客，唐朝的鸿胪寺等。并且根据可以考证的的相关史料，元朝还出现了培养翻译人才的学校，明清两朝专门设置了翻译部门。并在此期间出现了三次翻译高潮，即东汉至唐宋的佛经翻译、明末清初的科技翻译、鸦片战争至五四时期的西学翻译。
基于对过去的了解和对未来的展望，我们还需要更好地把握现在。《报告》还具体分析了当下中国翻译行业的现状及所存在的问题：
1.规模小，资源分散。
2.技术和商业模式缺乏创新。
3.译员质量和数量达不到要求。
4.低价的恶性竞争。

回顾过去，把握现在，展望未来。中国翻译行业在2012年获得了井喷式的发展。
