不清楚是译的不好还是文化差异所致，功利主义在中国是个绝对的贬义词，但是utilitarianism其实很中性，尤其是它作为伦理学学说。

正则表达式（regular expression）。。。
我第一次读到的时候，这尼玛“正则”是个什么鬼东西啊。后来看港台那边好像翻译成 规则表达式 正规表达式，这哪个不比“正则”好啊。。真不知道哪个神人翻译的。。

trivial — 平凡的，例如：平凡解，平凡性。总觉得“平凡”二字带有文学色彩，不适合用在数学上，理解起来也不直接明了。

homosexuality – 同性恋

愚以为「同性爱」或者「同性性倾向」要更加合适一点。毕竟「恋」偏重于行为，「同性恋」让人感觉好像只是行为上的表现，是一种可以纠正的癖好。

这个词我至今不知道该怎么翻译，它太超前了，不论是翻译成「性」还是「性别」，都不能充分表现这个词的涵义。也许「泛性」不错，但又太别扭。

有些翻译不能从文字上看出其中的大致内涵，比较容易令人摸不到头脑，比如格式塔心理学。
有些名词过于抽象，根本不适合翻译过来，比如表征（representation）
有些名词不能覆盖原文所有含义，容易造成误解，比如内含适应性（inclusive fitness），个人认为翻译成广义适应度更好。

个人认为，中国大陆的翻译比较好，而港台略有欠缺。

一家之见，参考斟酌。
