外国友人还手机失主儿子现场翻译

几天前，市民隋女士的丈夫不慎弄丢了手机，刚巧被一位外国友人捡到了。对方查询通讯录后给隋女士打来电话，无奈隋女士英语水平有限，沟通不畅。没想到，11岁的儿子有模有样地当起了翻译，成功“救场”，不仅拿回了手机还和外国友人交了朋友。
6月18日，家住白山路街道中山路社区的隋女士来到社区，说起儿子的表现，她又是惊喜又是自豪。原来，就在前几天，隋女士的丈夫不慎弄丢手机。正当全家为此着急时，一位外国人打电话找失主。夫妻俩很高兴，但苦于英语水平有限，只能听懂一点点。
正发愁时，读小学五年级的儿子放学回家，听说此事后回拨电话，用英语描述了手机的特征，并和对方约定在医大二院门口见面。一家三口开车赶到后，见到了捡到手机的那位外国友人。当时，隋女士的儿子大方从容地与外国友人用英语沟通。最后外国友人核实无误后，归还了手机。
“临走前，儿子还和外国友人握手、拥抱道别。 ”隋女士说，当时可把她和丈夫看得目瞪口呆，他们没有想到，儿子的英语口语还真不赖，关键时刻成功“救场”。
