毕修勺翻译的暌违六十余载的“左拉小说集”重新出版

【深圳商报讯】（驻沪记者 卢羽华）一套暌违六十余载的“左拉小说集”，由上海锦绣文章出版社重新出版，在今年上海书展上亮相。
这一套8本的左拉小说包括《给妮侬的故事》、《磨坊之役》、《克罗特的忏悔》等。其中7本由著名翻译家毕修勺在1945年~1948年间翻译并整理出版，1985年至1987年又重新修改校正过，尘封多年终于得以整理出版。长篇小说《克罗特的忏悔》曾在1998年7月由台湾业强出版社列入世界文学名著精华本，这是首次与大陆读者见面。
毕修勺是我国最早翻译左拉作品的学者，他曾留学法国，长期从事左拉小说、哲学和历史地理著作的翻译，在1948年翻译出版了7部左拉小说。新中国成立初期，他又翻译出版了左拉的《萌芽》、《劳动》、《崩溃》三部长篇。后一度蒙冤，失去了整整25年的自由翻译、出版时间，直至1979年才重新回到书桌旁。到1991年，已有30部作品、约1000万字译文脱手。无奈纯文学出版苦苦挣扎，这些肯定不会畅销的左拉著作只能整齐地“束之高阁”。包括巴金先生在内，许多知情人为之奔走呼吁，终于使这些作品重见天日，与读者见面。
记者获悉，本次出版篇目基本体现了左拉中短篇小说取材风格和行文特色，使读者充分领略左拉早期的写作风格：充满浪漫主义的色彩，兼有自然主义准确、详尽、客观的写实风格，及实验小说对人物性格、心理活动的细腻刻画和分析。
