中国茶业话语权从黑茶英译开始

至从中国茶叶传入欧美，本该属于黑茶的英译词“black tea”，阴差阳错的戴在了红茶的头上。美国哥伦比亚大学王志远教授指出，西方却把中国的传统“黑茶”，翻译成“Dark Tea”。在英文中，“dark”，是与“暗”同义的。红茶讲究汤色“红亮”。“暗”与“亮”相比，绝对是贬义词。“Dark Tea”也有粗制滥造，质量不精的含义。 从商业的角度，顾客心理，“暗茶”，是无论如何不能打入国际市场的。我们不可能强迫先入为主的红茶改为“red tea”，但我们可以有自己的话语权。对英语的不了解，让黑茶陷入认知误区，但直到今天，我们还没有重视黑茶的英译问题。我们非常赞同王志远的意见，不接受西方强加于黑茶的英译，也相信大部分茶人都不会同意。“Dark Tea”无法真实表现黑茶的品质特点，还会给人误解、曲解。

黑茶是中国特有的茶类，和乌龙茶一样，属于特种茶。品饮多样化、管理成本最小化、功效突出、最易标准生产化的中国黑茶，其发展优势、发展潜力巨大，也许一个英译词就能阻碍中国黑茶的国际化进程，加大国际市场推进难度，从而断送中国黑茶国际市场。而这个问题确实已有征兆。当中国开始和平崛起，来自中国的声音在全球开始受到关注，对于茶叶，我们也要争取自己的话语权。但我们也注意到，目前茶学界、茶商很少或者还没有用到黑茶的英译，但这不等于不会用到，因为我们已经看到了中国黑茶在世界的舞台上开始彰显魅力。如果说在今天之前，我们还没有意识到，还没有大品牌意识，那么，从今天开始，我们倡议中国茶人，共同努力，正如王志远教授所说：“茶学界和商界应共同相约， 今后杜绝采用“Dark Tea”的译名，直接采用“Heicha”的拼音。”诚能如此，中国茶叶之幸，中国黑茶之幸。

鉴于此，湖南黑茶茯茶网开展黑茶英译词茶人调查活动，从2009年12月16日开始，为期一个月。我们清楚的知道，我们力量以及影响力还很薄弱，但在推广普及茶文化，特别是黑茶文化，我们一直竭尽所能，我们也希望此次调查可以得到广大茶人、媒体、杂志、网站的支持，共同参与，共同努力。我们希望有更多的媒体(杂志、网站)来参与，并将调查活动、调查内容发布在贵杂志、网站，并在活动结束后将调查数据在线联系，共同沟通、讨论(QQ：366958160，或者发邮件至：hezang@yahoo.cn，个人调查意见、想法也可通过在线提交)，对每一位参与者我们都表示衷心感谢。

我们在初步讨论中，有意见认为，应该把中国黑茶中最具代表的茯茶作为英译词，即“Fu tea”(福茶)。中国的茶文化与中国福文化交织发展，成为中华优秀的民族传统文化。伴随中国几千年的历史文明的变迁与发展，如今已经渗透到了人们生活的点点滴滴中，她所折射出的是我们整个中华民族的生活观念及价值观。与茶文化一样，是中国土生土长的民族文化。“Fu tea”的译法将茶文化、福文化有机结合，有利于中国茶的世界认知。衣食是福、和谐是福,“ 一曰寿、二曰富、三曰康宁、四曰攸好德、五曰考终命”五福不也正是茶人追求的境界。当然，我们相信广大茶人的意见更加具有代表性，也更愿意倾听多方面的意见。
