Index索引

“索引”是指示书刊中的项目或内容所在页码的资料，通常按一定次序排列，便于查找。在拉丁语里，index意思是”食指”。从”食指”引伸到”索引”，这同中国人的习惯倒是一致的，我们也通常用食指指示事物。

不过，英语现在辅导”食指”叫做indexfinger又是一个词义”重叠”。
