“伪基站”用英文怎么说？

工信部新闻发言人张峰26日表示，针对制造大量垃圾短信的“伪基站”问题，计划联合最高法、法制办、公安部等相关部门推动修订相关法规，对利用“伪基站”破坏公用电信设施、扰乱电信市场管理秩序和无线电通讯管理秩序的行为加大惩处力度。

Members of the public can buy base stations online for less than 10,000 yuan ($1,630), a specialist on the front line of the battle against spam said, adding that any base station can send more than 10,000 messages an hour.

一位在第一线和垃圾短信作斗争的专家说，普通民众花不到1万元（合1630美元）就能在线买下基站。他还说，任何基站每小时都能发出1万条以上的信息。

这种被私人收购、用于发送大量垃圾短信的base station（基站）就是“伪基站”。伪基站由于制造和发送大量spam messages（垃圾短信），给民众的生活带来不少困扰。光是去年就有数千万民众因无法忍受垃圾短信的骚扰而换掉手机号。

这些垃圾短信五花八门，有的是investment advice（投资建议），有的是中奖通知，有的是promotional messages（促销短信），甚至还有拉皮条短信。而且由于短信是由基站发出，会让人乍一看误以为是内容真实的短信。
