“上火”如何翻译为英语？

貌似西医就没有上火的概念？想知道该怎么翻译。

如@梁海 所说，该用音译，不过这个词已经存在使用比较广泛的音译来自粤语。

「上火」，广东人称作「热气」，到了英文里面称作 yeet hay 或者 yit hei 。

这个问题我也想了很久，在网上查了很多，然后个人觉得，可以就这样翻译“excessive internal heat”，但是，一定要加注释，因为国外没有这个term，无论你怎么翻译他们都是一定听不懂的，所以要解释！

笔译的话可以在备注里面加”this is a concept in traditional Chinese medicine. Normally people with excessive internal heat would easily get inflammed, sore throat, toothache, acnes, etc.(原谅我，我印象中的上火就是爆痘、喉咙疼、牙齿疼等等，不要拽什么是因为体内阴阳不平衡，鬼佬听不懂的。。。)”

至于口译的话，你直接解释就好啦！或者，直接翻译为”Shanghuo”，然后加注释！中国也可以有很多自己特色的词汇！！！So coin one! 户口在英文里也是先说Hukou,然后加上Chinese household registration的解释….

有说法是inner heat. 但现代医学里没有上火的说法，因为上火大部分就是局部发炎、内分泌紊乱、或新陈代谢不佳。和老外解释只能说not feeling good because of awful/busy life or terrible incidents.
