英国一名华人传译涉嫌协助驾照作弊被判刑

国际在线消息：据BBC报道，一名许姓华人传译，因为涉嫌协助在考驾驶执照时作弊，而被判刑一年，据称他获利10万英镑。

警方称，55岁的彼得许（译音）以普通话在笔试时告诉申请者复选题的正确答案，根据报道他以此种方式为大约200人作弊。

法律伯明翰法庭判处他一年的徒刑，当地的报道说，有两名证人承认付费换取彼得许的协助作弊。

英国驾照核发部门批准彼得许为应考驾照笔试复选题的应考人提供传译服务，但是发现有异状，因此指派专家检查，揭破了彼得许的收费作弊。
警方称，他们检查了27个应考者的成绩，确认彼得许“的确是以此营利”。

一名45岁、现职厨师的应考者说，他支付彼得许250英镑的费用，然后彼得许在传译的时候，以普通话说“是”为暗号、提供答案。

被查到的两名应考者则被下令必须进行80小时的义务劳动并且支付100英镑的法庭费用。

伯明翰地方报纸《伯明翰邮报》形容彼得许是英国第一个以考驾照作弊而被判刑的传译。
