街头中英文翻译有些不规范

无锡街头的中英文对照翻译做得如何？“五一”期间，无锡职业技术学院外语系组织部分学生进行街头调查发现，无锡中英文对照翻译不规范现象非常突出。

该学院外语系老师罗颖告诉记者，最近组织学生分小组去无锡不同的地方寻找英汉对译的公共标识牌，先后去了无锡中央车站、欧尚超市、长广溪公园等地方，通过把一些有代表的标识牌拍下来，然后分析它们的对错，一方面提高学生的英文翻译水平，同时将相应错误翻译向市里有关部门反映纠正，有利于提高城市形象。调查中不少市民表示，英文翻译的使用是为了给外国人带来方便，应以英语思维去翻译，否则就会让外国人看不懂，甚至可能变成“国际玩笑”，一些错误的翻译往往令外国游客看后一头雾水。

锡沪西路XiHU Xi Lu应为：West Xihu Road。紧握扶手Hold the handnail应为：Hold the Handrail.(拼写错误)。禁止倚靠Don’t Lean Against应为：No Leaning。无障碍设施：Accessible Facikity应为：Wheelchair Accessi－ble。
