曾是烫手山芋：外商和翻译都不懂，什么叫“库存”

郭洪建说，库存品主要分为三类：一是企业倒闭后剩下来的产品，因为销售渠道同期瓦解，货物基本就没人要了；二是企业为客户量身定做的产品，因为种种原因客户不要，这货物就积压下来了；三是客户进的货太多，货柜装不下，部分货物带不走就低价处理了。
这些货靠企业零卖根本是不现实的，因此只能库存，大多会低价处理掉，这就让库存行业有了商机。
没多久，傅树清、郭洪建就先后在义驾山一带租下了店面，成立了一家积压货商行。“因为积压太难听，当时取店面是就用了‘库存’一词。”
这应该是义乌人第一次听说“库存”一词，可是如今贴着“库存收购”字样的汽车穿梭在义乌的大街小巷，甚至在偏远乡镇的农村，你都可以看到“库存收购”的大字广告。
可在10年前，这一行业并不被客商所接受。“在大多数不知情的人眼里，库存就是二手货或者次品，甚至废品。”
郭洪建回忆起起阶段时说，当初到外贸公司推销，老外看都不看一眼，“因为他们和翻译都不明白什么是库存，就怕买到不好的产品。”
