翻译离不开语言和文化的双重积淀。
要让外国人彻底明白“文艺青年”的含义，需要汉语和至少一种外语的两种语言能力，这一点是容易明白的。
与之相比，文化这个东西经常被忽视。
想翻译好“文化青年”，首先就要理解其文化意义。
我搜索了很多资料，没有发现有统一的定义，再加上我的生活实践也没有让我明白这个词有什么比较稳定的内涵，所以这个词还不具备推介出去的前提条件。
想要人别人相信一个东西，自己先要相信。自己都不信的东西，内部没有共识的东西，很难形成强大的现实扭曲力场（reality distortion ability),没法把别人吸引过来的。
所以说等到哪一天“文艺青年”这个词在中国人中间先有了共识，我们讨论把它推介出去的时机才会成熟。

文艺青年，我的理解是喜欢文学、美术、音乐、舞蹈、电影、建筑、摄影等学科的爱好者，但问题是如何鉴别某人是不是文艺青年？他们需要在各方面达到什么水准，才有资格被称为文艺青年？还是说只要他们唱几首歌、跳几段舞、拍几张写真就变成了文艺青年？如果不搞清它的涵义（很不严谨），肯定译得不准确，外国人当然没法彻底明白。

1.情绪化的对待真实生活。
2.超过其真实理解力的表现出对艺术的偏爱，但却缺乏对应的实际能力；矫情的超过限度的表现自己在某方面的愿望而不是能力。
