细心指导后辈翻译者

1981年我大学毕业，翌年1月被分配到中国民族语文翻译局工作。在庞大的工作人员队伍中，我是资历最浅的。那时，洛老是我们的书记，但他从没有高高在上，而是对我们新来的同志非常关心，经常鼓励我们要多看书、多学习。在我心中，洛老是我的老前辈，是一位学术功底深厚的老学者、老专家。

2011年，我要写作有关《毛泽东选集》翻译方面的文章。当时，这方面的历史资料非常难找，无奈之下，我就去找已经退休的洛老寻求帮助。已经86岁高龄的洛老，给我一讲就是整整一上午。不仅如此，他还找出很多非常珍贵的历史资料，其中不仅有新中国成立以后的珍贵史料，还有此前乌兰夫等领导同志的一些活动资料。了解新中国成立前有关蒙古文翻译情况的人已经极少了，洛老对我循循善诱，生怕漏掉一点儿细节。

在少数民族语文翻译中，或多或少都存在着个别名词术语翻译有争议的问题，在蒙古文翻译中也不例外。近期，历史上就存在的一些名词翻译问题又被提了出来，其中就有关于“中国共产党”一词应如何翻译的问题。有教授希望我们能作出比较成熟合理的解释，所以，我们就此项工作展开调查研究。

其实，这个问题早在上世纪70年代就有过争论，当时经过研究讨论，暂时确定了翻译的原则。如今，旧事重提，而且是一件影响重大的事件，我非常谨慎，便再次向已88岁高龄的洛老讨教，结果得到了洛老的高度重视。洛老亲自来到我的办公室，将此前争论的来龙去脉清清楚楚地讲给我听。他的讲述如果能记录下来，其实已经是一篇文章、一段珍贵史料了。此事不仅仅是一个文化方面的问题，也是一个政治问题，有了洛老的指导，我顿时对做好自己的工作充满了信心。

洛老给我的另一个印象是十分尊重别人的劳动。此前，我们翻译乌兰老师的一本著作，为了保证准确，我们译完一部分，就会给洛老寄过去让他把关。每次，洛老都会十分认真地批阅文稿，并在文尾标注修改意见。在他看过的稿子中，我们可以发现他轻易不动笔修改，改动之处的必定是要害，改动虽小，但非常准确、到位。

去年，洛老找到我，建议我们写一本蒙古族历史人物的传记，甚至给我们列出了名单大纲。87岁的洛老还想着民族文化事业、民族语文事业，这让我深深地感动。我一直想帮洛老完成这一夙愿，但现在力量还不允许，我会争取创造一切机会实现洛老的心愿。
