翻译网站Gengo获英特尔等风投1200万美元投资

4月23日消息，据国外媒体报道，翻译网站Gengo日前获得1200万美元投资。这轮投资由英特尔资本领投，跟投的还有Atomico、Iris资本、Infocomm、NTT-IP和沙特电信投资等公司。

这家网站此前总共融资680万美元，其中A轮融资525万美元。在A轮融资中领投的是Atomico和戴夫·麦克卢尔（Dave McClure）的500 Startups公司。麦克卢尔还在Gengo担任董事职位。

许多电信公司参与了此轮融资。Gengo首席执行官罗伯特·莱恩（Robert Laing）今日对媒体表示，这显示出“电信公司分享Gengo全球业务机遇的方式。”

目前，美国和日本市场为Gengo贡献约40%的营收。公司在东京有30名员工，在加州圣玛特奥有9名员工。

凭借与谷歌旗下视频网站YouTube的合作，Gengo上译者翻译的文本数量已经超过了2012年一整年。Gengo是YouTube整合的付费翻译服务之一。（亚比）
