常州金坛华罗庚公园现神翻译

日前，网友“常州小佬”在龙城论坛发帖说，金坛华罗庚公园的路牌惊现神翻译，一处名叫“雅约园”的地方，英文被翻译成“YA ABOUT PARK”。对此，金坛市园林管理处的工作人员表示，将立即整改，重新请专家翻译，并将对金坛市各大公园的英文指示牌做一次全面检查。

“常州小佬”在帖中称，华罗庚公园处于城市中心，闹中取静。2010年，公园里安装了中英文路牌，没想到其中的雅约园被译成那个样。

对此，网友们展开了讨论。有人说：“找度娘翻译的吧。”有人说：“中英混译，老外看不懂吧。”比较懂英文的网友则提出了自己的方案，“不妨译成‘Elegance Garden’。”还有网友表示，用汉语拼音好了，译成“Ya Yue Park”。

地名翻译一般用汉语拼音

“‘雅约园’是个地名，直接翻译成‘YA ABOUT PARK’肯定是不合适的。”一位在高校教英文的陈老师说：地名、路名的翻译，基本遵循用汉语拼音字母拼写的原则，这不仅是中国的统一标准，而且是国际标准。在这里，最合适的就是翻译成‘YaYue Park’了。”

园林部门

立即整改，并彻查路牌

究竟是谁弄出这样的“神”翻译呢？记者找到华罗庚公园管理办公室。一位工作人员表示，这块路牌是2010年公园扩建时立上去的，路牌都是园林管理处请人制作安装的。由于他们都不太懂英文，也不知道这样的翻译不合适。

随后，记者来到金坛园林管理处。办公室一位工作人员称，当天一大早，他们就看到了帖子，正准备积极整改，将原来的路牌立刻取下，请专业人士重新翻译后，再制作安装上去。

他还表示，借着这次机会，将对金坛全市各大公园的英文指示牌重新梳理检查一遍，如果发现不合适的翻译，将一并整改到位
