川大教授杨武能获翻译界“诺贝尔奖”

想必你读过《浮士德》《少年维特的烦恼》《格林童话全集》等经典名著，但你是否知道，它们都是由我国著名翻译家、四川大学的教授杨武能编著而成？

近日，国际歌德学会在德国举行了授奖仪式，把歌德金质奖章授予了四川大学外国语学院杨武能教授，这在中国德语界是第一次。

昨日，杨武能教授在给成都商报记者的回信中称，歌德金质奖章不亚于诺贝尔奖或者世界杯冠军，在中国不出名是因为没有受到重视。

川大文新学院的教授张怡是杨武能的学生，她在获悉自己老师获奖的第一时间就联系到了远在德国领奖的杨武能。张怡向记者介绍，1990年杨武能调入四川大学，居住在成都。1992年创办欧洲经济文化研究中心，任中心主任，2009年被中国翻译协会表彰为资深翻译家。

杨武能教授的译作经典译著更多达30余种，遍及少年至青中年的阅读层次，编选有《海涅文集》5卷、《外国中篇名著金库》10卷等。他多年持之以恒，译品字数多达六七百万字，德语界将有量多质佳翻译成就的杨武能称为当之无愧的德语界“傅雷”。

据悉，杨武能的夫人王荫祺教授也是一位德语翻译家，在川外德语系毕业不久，她和杨武能一起合译了《格林童话全集》。70多岁高龄的杨武能获歌德金质奖章后一直在德国继续翻译事业，他拒绝接受采访。张怡告诉成都商报记者，杨武能是一个倔脾气的老先生：“杨老师最近还在赶着翻译，加班加点，他真有点像老骥伏枥，所以请理解他拒绝采访，他的原话是不用浪费国家的钱和彼此的时间。”

杨武能教授昨天在回复成都商报的信件中写道：“在中国，我有幸成为获得歌德金质奖章的第一人，但这并非我一个人的荣誉和功劳。这荣誉归于中国的日耳曼学研究，归于指导我学习研究歌德的导师冯至先生以及在南京大学的恩师，归于自郭沫若以来的一代代歌德研究者和译介者……”

歌德金质奖章是“最高奖励和荣誉”

昨日，经过成都商报记者三番五次的联系，杨武能先生通过学生张怡发了一封信给记者，简单讲述了自己获得歌德金质奖章后的感想。

杨武能先生的信中说道：首先，尽人皆知，歌德被尊为最伟大的德国人，人们视他为德国精神文化的代表，以他的名字命名的机构如歌德学院和歌德奖章，在德国乃至世人心目中，都有着权威性和非同一般的意义。我所获得的歌德金质奖章，是总部在魏玛的国际歌德协会颁授的“最高奖励和荣誉”。魏玛歌德协会成立于1885年，是一个以促进歌德研究和译介为己任的国际学术团体，目前在德国国内拥有58个地方分会，在国外拥有40个国别分会，中国歌德学会算是其中之一。

杨武能先生介绍，作为世界歌德研究领域“最高奖励和荣誉”的歌德金质奖章，从1910年开始颁发，全世界迄今获奖者总共56位，几乎都是世所公认的研究歌德的权威专家，或是为译介和传播歌德贡献卓著的人。

杨武能教授的学生评价，国际歌德协会颁授歌德金质奖章给杨教授，是对他几十年致力于中德文化交流，把全副精力献给翻译事业的最高奖励。

他的谦虚：

“我是一锄头挖到个金娃娃”
提起歌德金质奖章，除了翻译界，可能业界外的人并不了解。昨日，杨武能在信中也称自己知道这一点：“魏玛歌德协会得到德国政府的支持和世界的承认，具有唯一性和权威性，其所颁授的最高奖励和荣誉的价值和意义，但不下于任何单项的国际学术大奖或者文体赛事的最高奖励，例如乒乓球世界杯冠军抑或诺贝尔化学奖什么什么的。”杨武能说，歌德金质奖章在中国之所以没有名气，未受到应有的重视，是因为歌德研究属于受歧视的社会科学，属于小众的精英文化范畴，又没有跟美元挂钩。但愿他这次获奖，能引起国人对歌德研究这门学科以及国际歌德协会和歌德金质奖章等等的注意。

最后，杨武能很谦虚地写道，“在中国，我有幸成为获得歌德金质奖章的第一人，但这并非我一个人的荣誉和功劳。这荣誉归于中国的日耳曼学研究，归于指导我学习研究歌德的导师冯至先生以及在南京大学的恩师，归于自郭沫若以来的一代代歌德研究者和译介者……前人栽树，后人乘凉。吃水不忘挖井人。吉人自有天相，有为而善良之人天助之！我受到众多师友的帮助、提携，一锄头挖到个金娃娃！”
