专家：中国作家无缘安徒生奖或因作品未被翻译

近日，受国际儿童读物联盟(IBBY)和国际儿童读物联盟中国分会(CBBY)的邀请，安徒生奖评委会主席玛利亚·耶稣·基尔女士造访中国。期间，在由中国作家协会、中国作协儿童文学委员会和中国少年儿童新闻出版总社联合举办的“与安徒生奖对话———中国儿童文学的国际视野”座谈会上，围绕安徒生奖评选标准及国际儿童文学发展趋势，包括中国当前儿童文学创作现状等问题，玛利亚与高洪波、李敬泽、金波、曹文轩、白冰、李东华、赵易平、孙卫卫、葛竞等作家、评论家，以及插画家安宏、李红专、李蓉等展开热切的交流与对话，其中，“中国作家缘何始终未获国际安徒生奖”成为最为关注的焦点话题。

国际安徒生奖是由国际儿童读物联盟(IBBY)于1956年开始设立的国际性文学奖，每两年一次，授予在世的一名儿童文学作家(1956年开始)和一名儿童插画家(1966年开始)，以此奖励并感谢他们以全部作品为儿童文学事业作出的持久的贡献。该奖为世界儿童图书创作者的最高荣誉，所以也叫“小诺贝尔奖”。迄今为止，获得国际安徒生奖提名的中国作家共有六位，先后为孙幼军、金波、秦文君、曹文轩、张之路和刘先平，遗憾的是，始终未有中国作家获得国际安徒生奖。究其原因是什么?

作家金波回忆，1992年他被提名安徒生奖。但当时他的所有的书都没有被翻译成英文，而评委当中也没有一个懂汉语的，所以临时抱佛脚，从每一本书里摘录若干片断或者短篇临时翻译成英语。“从整个过程来看，评委对于作家、特别是对中国儿童文学作家的作品了解很少。当然，最主要的原因是由于我们的工作做得不够，介绍得不够。”同时，金波发现，自安徒生奖创立以来，有的国家数次得奖，且获奖者大都集中在西方欧美国家，而东方很多国家都没有得过此奖，可能是因为东方作品没有翻译成多种语言，或者是因为评奖有地域方面的限制?对此，玛利亚明确表示，“国际安徒生奖没有任何地域限制”。但她同时承认，作为西方人、作为欧洲人，“应该进一步加深对中国文学、中国儿童文学的理解，这一点是毫无疑问的”。而最重要的，还是应该为有更多更好的翻译作品而不懈努力。

中国作家赵易平问到:“评选过程中，评委会是否会阅读提名者所有的作品?还是通过其他的方式来决定一个作者是否获奖?”对此，玛利亚表示，安徒生奖的评选确实是对一个作者所有作品的评选，但遗憾的是，“并不是所有的作品我们都能够阅读，只是一个作者最重要的作品是被阅读的”。一个重要原因就是，有一些作品并没有被翻译成其他的语言。对读书报记者问及“评委会是经过怎样的流程和程序被推举出来的”，玛利亚只是简单地回答“通过民主的程序”。

中国儿童文学如何实现更为广泛的国际传播，并产生更加深刻的国际影响，需要多方面的共同努力。“作为出版人，我要表示歉意，因为我们做的还不够。但IBBY、中少总社今后会创造更多这样的机会。”IBBY主席、中国少年儿童新闻出版总社社长李学谦表示，将加大组团参加博洛尼亚书展的力度，携带更多的作品，邀请更多作家。同时，中少总社还建立了版权输出的常备书目。

安徒生奖固然重要，但更重要的是，“全世界的孩子们都能够在一个广阔的全球化时代的视野中读到世界范围内的精品图书”。中国作家协会书记处书记、评论家李敬泽表示，做到这一点，确实需要大力推动中国的儿童文学向各个语种的翻译工作。“一方面，我们需要中外出版家们、中外作家们做出很大的努力，就中国有关机构来说，对我们儿童文学的对外翻译和对外出版，已经提供了很大的支持和帮助。而且我现在可以负责任地说，相关的文化机构现在和以后会提供更为有力的支持和帮助。”
