大罗山“中式英语”太搞笑 “我和我的外国小伙伴都惊呆了”

昨天上午，网友“lotus凌晓”在微博发布了一张图片（见图），位于大罗山景区的一处标志牌，一句简单环保宣传标语“管住口，不乱吐，管住手，不乱扔，管住脚，不乱踏”，附带的英语翻译竟然是“The tube shut up,don’t spit; tube stop, do not throw; control foot, not random walk。”（管道闭嘴，不要吐痰；管道停止，不要扔；控制住脚，不要随意走动）下属单位为温州市体育局。该网友用了一句网上较火的流行语“我和我的外国小伙伴都惊呆了。”

看到此标志牌，网友“Lory林”说，不相信这会发生在我们大罗山，悲哀啊！ 网友“柚子好帅”说：还不如写拼音了，反正是给中国人看的。而网友“我有一只阿凡提从来也不骑”直接指出：Chinese English。（中式英语）不少网友表示，在景区出现如此不正规的翻译问题，直接给温州形象抹黑，有关部门的工作实在太粗心。

记者将这句标语发给温州市万嘉外文翻译社，一名工作人员说，标志牌上的翻译是字对字机械翻译，最明显的错误即把“管住口”中的“管”翻成tube（管道），造成错误的原因很可能是使用了网上的翻译系统。

该工作人员说，“do not throw”只有“别扔”之意，没有“别乱扔”的语义；“random walk”是随意走动，即便是将原句改成“no random walk”,也不足以表达不乱踏的意思。根据语境，理解为不乱踏草坪。她提供一条参考翻译：No spitting; No littering; Keep off the grass.她认为翻译虽在格式上未能与原文对应，但更能准确表达标牌要表达的含义。

为此，温州市体育局法规产业处相关负责人说，大罗山景区的标志牌是由温州市体育局牵头、瓯海区体育局进行制作，原先安排联系了温州大学的一位英语老师帮助翻译的，由于该老师时间安排较紧，便由瓯海区体育局相关部门人员自行进行翻译，不料大大降低了翻译的专业性，造成语法上存在瑕疵。近期将标志牌撤下。下半年，市体育局将对大罗山的一些标志牌、广告牌、附属设施等进行一个大规模整改，完善、改进该旅游风景区的一些基本设施。同时感谢网友的反映，今后会对于这类有关城市窗口的形象工作更为仔细严谨。

此外，还有不少市民拨打新闻热线反映，市区白鹿洲公园也有近10处中英文指示牌翻译错误。如：公园内公共卫生间翻译成了“Between public health”，猜不出是什么意思；如“Prohibit fireworks”即“严禁烟火”其实应该为“Fireworks prohibited”，如“Beware of slippery”即“小心地滑”改为“Caution！Slippery”更地道，“Do not noisy”即“请勿喧哗”直接用“Quiet”更精准 、公共厕所上标识的“Man”要改成“Men”。对此，该公园建设方一负责人说，这些中英文指示牌是承包给一个公司制作的，牌子放置公园里时也没有进行核查。
