Paragraph段落

同古汉语一样，古代西方语言也是没有标点，不分段落，没有间隔的。古希腊人为了让当时的读者便于阅读，就在每一个新的内容开始的一行词的下面划一条横线，他们把这个横线叫做paragaphos。Paro即”by the side of”;graphos written”，合起来即是”划在旁边”的意思。英语的paragraph就是从希腊人的这个习惯作法paragraphos来的。
