陕西省宋庆龄基金会枫韵幼儿园近日被发现偷偷给孩子集体服用一种叫“病毒灵”的药物，这种抑制病毒繁殖的药物可引起出汗、食欲不振及低血糖等不良副作用。该幼儿园已经给孩子服用该药长达数年，不少小孩出现肚子痛、皮肤瘙痒、下身红肿、盗汗、头晕等症状。关于给孩子服药的原因，部分家长认为可能是为了提高出勤率，增加幼儿园收入，另外一些家长担心是将孩子当小白鼠进行人体药物试验。

A kindergarten in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province has been suspended for feeding white prescription-strength antibacterial pills to 400 kids for several months behind parents’ back, Chinanews.com reported.

据中国新闻网报道，陕西一家幼儿园近日因被发现背着家长给400个孩子连续数月喂食白色处方药“病毒灵”而被叫停。

“病毒灵”英文表达为antibacterial pills，是一种具有side effects（副作用）的prescription drug（处方药）。专业人员已证实这种药不是OTC（非处方药，over-the-counter drug），而且也不适宜儿童服用。长期服用“病毒灵”会导致night sweat（盗汗）、loss of appetite（食欲不振）等症状。

一些家长认为幼儿园给孩子集体服用此药是为了保证孩子的attendance rate（出勤率），因为按照收费办法，如果幼儿缺勤一天，枫韵幼儿园就要给家长退一天的费用，超过十天缺勤，就要退一半的nursery fee（托费）。
