俄罗斯“陨石”怎么说

莫斯科时间15日早晨在俄罗斯车里雅宾斯克州坠落的陨石已造成1000多人受伤。俄罗斯总统普京在事件发生后责成紧急情况部门立即向受伤人员提供援助。俄罗斯专家称，俄罗斯可能还会再度降下陨石雨，相关部门已经做好应对准备。

A meteorite streaked across the sky and exploded over central Russia on Friday, raining fireballs over a vast area and causing a shock wave that smashed windows, damaged buildings and injured 1,200 people.

本周五，一块陨石划过天空在俄罗斯中部地区上空爆炸，导致大片区域内降下火球，其引发的冲击波致窗户被震碎，建筑物损毁，并导致1200人受伤。

Meteorite（陨石）就是从行星际空间（outer space）穿过地球大气层（the Earth’s atmosphere）而陨落到地球表面（the Earth’s surface）上的天然固态物体。大部分陨石都来源于流星体（meteoroids），也有少部分因小行星（asteroids）影响产生。

此次陨石坠落导致的伤损主要是由陨石爆炸时产生的冲击波（shock wave）引发的。当地一位紧急情况部门官员称此次陨石爆炸事件与今日近距离飞越地球的一颗小行星（asteroid）有关，但俄罗斯太空专家否认二者有关联（there was no link）。俄罗斯专家称，俄罗斯可能还会再度降下陨石雨（meteorite shower），相关部门已经做好应对准备。
