中文版《猫》翻译“接地气”

 

音乐剧《猫》。

 

一只猫缔造了多少音乐剧传奇，如今这只猫有了全球第15个语言版本——中文版，同时又加入了许多中国元素。音乐剧《猫》将于9月6日在南京人民大会堂上演，长达8场的精彩演出会将猫元素淋漓尽致地展现给南京观众。

 

一直在唱的猫，没有台词对话

 

《猫》是一部舞蹈元素很多的音乐剧。它根据诺贝尔文学奖得主的长诗 《擅长装扮的老猫精》改编谱曲。说的是：杰里科猫族每年都要举行一次舞会，形形色色的猫纷纷登场，尽情表现，诉说爱与宽容的主题。这次坐镇执导《猫》的导演兼舞蹈总监乔安，已经与“猫”共舞35年，亲自参与制作了全部14个语言版本《猫》的制作。据他介绍，《猫》中文版并不是音乐剧《猫》原版的译制品或者附属品，它是继承原版精髓的同时，完全扎根本土的“中国猫”。相对于《悲惨世界》、《红男绿女》这些音乐剧，音乐总监菲兹坚持认为《猫》是一部“独树一帜”的作品：“《猫》是没有台词对话的，从头到尾都是用唱歌贯穿的。这是由《猫》开创的，后来有很多音乐剧也都效仿这种方式、运用了这种概念。有点像歌剧的感觉，没有任何台词，一直在唱。”

 

 

翻译对味，“碰碎了个花瓶据说产自明代”

 

菲兹在谈到语言版本制作时说：“舞蹈动作是需要改的，对音乐来说其实问题不大。在音乐里面我们其实只需要将词语替换为当地的语言，然后保证不破坏音乐的韵律就可以了。” 制作团队还把翻译好的中文歌词再翻译回英文，让外方团队能了解含义，确保翻译后的歌词尽量接近甚至等同于原版。此外，为了配合原诗的气质，中文版在翻译时使用了不少成语，使得翻译不仅“对位”而且十分“对味”，在全剧开场舞“杰里科猫之夜”，中国成语排比句般的歌词，率性爽口、新鲜感十足。同时像“就是玉皇大帝也拿他俩没招”、“碰碎了个花瓶据说产自明代”之类的本土化唱词更让演出频现火花。
