石羊法庭推双语翻译

本报讯　法官在开庭前向听不懂汉语的彝族当事人宣读法庭纪律和当事人享有的权利及义务之后，翻译席上的彝语翻译将法官的话用彝语翻译给当事人听，让彝族群众能够无障碍地参与诉讼活动。在云南省楚雄州大姚县石羊中心法庭，这是审判活动中经常见到的一幕。
石羊中心人民法庭负责审理大姚县石羊镇、三台乡、三岔河乡、铁锁乡的民事案件，当地彝族聚居的村寨较多，有些村民甚至不会说汉语。为让当事人切实表达诉权，维护他们的合法权益，法庭培养了一批彝汉双语翻译人员。
近日，一位彝族中年妇女因家庭暴力到法庭递交诉状要求与丈夫离婚，立案法官发现她仅会讲一些简单的汉语，法官向她交代权利义务方面的内容时，她露出一脸的茫然。法官察觉这位当事人不能用汉语交谈，便在庭审前联系了彝汉双语翻译，用彝语向她告知权利义务，还告诉她双方当事人对翻译人员也有申请回避的权利。庭审中，彝语翻译对庭审的顺利进行起到了重要的作用，让法官能够通过翻译深入地了解案情，同时也让当事人准确理解法官对法律的解释、引导，为随后的调解工作打下基础。在彝语翻译的帮助下，法官认真做了这对夫妻的调解工作，男方最终心平气和地表示愿意与原告解除婚姻关系。
