孙家孟教授：他将“诺奖”作品翻译到中国

——追忆我国第一代西班牙语翻译学者孙家孟教授

“圣玛丽亚德聂瓦镇位于聂瓦河汇入玛腊尼昂河的交叉点，两河环抱着小镇，也是小镇的边界。”黝黑的小伙子在稿纸上写着，纸笔摩擦的沙沙声把夜衬得更加寂静，谁能知道，诺贝尔文学奖获得者略萨的《绿房子》就这样来到了中国。国人在这个人的《叙事人》《酒吧长谈》《潘达雷昂上尉与劳军女郎》等译著里渐渐读懂拉美，年轻翻译家也越发坚定了自己的寻梦之行，而这个梦，他一追就是一辈子。他就是中国第一代西班牙语翻译学者——孙家孟。

译书、教书，两点一线六十年

江苏省南京市北阴阳营8幢301号，推开门，卧室里午后的阳光洒在靠窗的书桌上，孙家孟的女儿孙伟一至今还记得，小时候每次中午放学回家，爸爸总是反锁房门，香烟的雾气和着古典音乐弥漫了整个屋子。她知道，爸爸又在译书了。自己做完饭，把爸爸的饭菜端过去，晚上放学回来，饭菜还原封不动地放在那儿。

“他对翻译着了魔，”孙家孟的同事、南京大学西班牙语教授倪华迪说，“我们当中没有一个人能像他那样，能抛下一切事情，一坐就是一整天，甚至连自己的药都不去买。”孙老的生活简单到只剩译书、教书，六十载春秋，他学校、宿舍两点一线的生活节奏从未改变，沿途葱郁的香樟见证了老人的青丝从黑亮染成花白。

“他的着魔，其实是对翻译的严谨和执著。”经常来中国游学的秘鲁学者吉耶鲁（音）深有感触，“他对作品里的每一个词都非常考究，不弄清楚不罢休。”每次来中国，吉耶鲁总要被孙家孟请到家里，面对面探讨译稿中词句的用法。吉耶鲁说，有一次孙老碰到一个句子，有些翻译家直接翻译成“南瓜放在哪里”，孙老发现这样翻译与上文衔接不上，吉耶鲁说其实应该是“人头”，于是孙老缠着他讲拉美风俗中“人头”的来由。

孙老的外孙女郑佳琦说：“外公就是这样，翻译的时候涉及一些人名、地名非得查阅许多资料才能确定，不轻易下笔。”也正是靠这样严谨较真的钻研劲儿，他翻译作品的准确度在西班牙语界首屈一指。

简居、淡泊，翻译是他最大的自由

收拾房间时，女婿郑忠慧发现书橱里有几张特别的黑白照片，上面是周恩来、董必武接见外国友人时，年轻的孙家孟在一旁翻译，但他却从来没听岳父提起过。

“爸爸非常低调，从不爱张扬，名利对于他来说，不如翻译让他更自由。”孙伟一说，“爸爸早年游历过许多拉美国家，每到一处都享受贵宾礼遇，但他却习惯待在这个简朴至极的宿舍里，他总说梦在这儿，走到哪儿都不是家。”而在这套60多平方米的教职工房子里，书房和卧室里满满两书架的西班牙语书是孙家孟的全部精神世界。

每年假期，郑佳琦都喜欢跟外公待在一起。“外公总是不温不火，什么都慢慢来，他总提醒我，不要只顾追名逐利，而忘记了自己最初的梦想。”抚摸着外公的书，郑佳琦眼圈泛了红，“外公去世后，我把他译过的书都一一找出来，读他的书就仿佛在和他说话，我慢慢发现，所有名利的光环都会随着时间的流逝而褪色，唯有精神的东西历经时光的淘洗才会越磨越亮。”

惦念、延续，追逐不断的翻译梦

孙老一辈子都好学，晚年经常把学生喊到家里，教他用电脑打字。他翻译的文稿都是自己用键盘一个字一个字地敲出来的，孙老的学生顾红娟记得，即使在病床上，老人还惦记着书，“孙老师让我给他带些书来，由于肺病，他说不清书名，我怕他着急，就把家里所有的书都给拿过来了。”

他害怕自己因病与社会脱节，再也翻译不出带着生活气息的作品，于是给孙老读报成了外孙女每天早晨的必做功课。当清透的声音回荡在病房里时，连医院消毒液的气味都似乎沾染了书卷味，病房成了孙家孟的另一个书房。

2013年4月4日，这一天的第一缕阳光没能像往常一样将孙老叫醒，医生护士们熟悉的读报声变成了阵阵抽泣，这一天，孙家孟老人79年的追梦之路戛然而止。

“老师是我们的榜样！”孙老的学生梅海涛说，“老师没走完的路我们会继续走下去。”
