加拿大渥太华大学翻译与口译学院院长到外国语学院讲学

4月10日至27日，加拿大渥太华大学翻译与口译学院院长、资深教授路易斯·万·佛拉德女士到外国语学院讲学。

佛拉德教授来访旨在对苗菊教授负责的国家外国专家局重点外专引智项目“以翻译为载体跨语言文化交流研究”进行指导，启发深入翻译理论研究，促进文化交流，促成南开大学外国语学院与渥太华大学翻译与口译学院建立教育、科研的合作关系。

佛拉德教授是国际著名的翻译理论家，女性主义文学翻译理论的先驱，研究领域包括语言文化交流历史与现状、政治与意识形态对翻译活动的影响，文学翻译的文化外交功用，并开拓多媒体视听翻译；她以宽广的学术视野，敏锐的学术洞察力和广泛的学术兴趣稳居当前和未来翻译研究前沿。她在多所国际著名高校任客座教授，讲学指导，发表专著、论文成果丰硕，翻译多部文学作品。

学院领导、专家与佛拉德教授探讨了开拓国际化发展、联合办学的途径，努力为学院师生出国交流学习研究、提高科研水平和教学质量、培养全球化信息时代需要的人才，创造理想的机会和条件。

佛拉德教授做了题为“翻译与文化外交”和“研究视角—解析女性作家与译者”的学术讲座，介绍女性主义翻译研究、翻译与意识形态、翻译与民族身份等领域最新的文化研究状况，体现了翻译研究深厚的文化传统，文化研究的深入创新发展。使学院教师和研究生拓宽视野、加深理解西方文化交流传统理论的发展脉络和前沿思想。

佛拉德教授还与师生进行了两场学术研讨会，对师生的跨语言文化交流研究内容进行指导，效果突出，成功地展示了学院教师和硕博研究生的理论水平和良好学风，深刻认识文化翻译理论的发展，把握学科前沿动态，进而开拓相关研究；使外国专家理解中国文化的丰富思想、深刻内涵，突出南开大学在国际上的知名度，在国内翻译学术界的领先地位，在当前中华文化、学术成就大力外推、扩大国际影响的背景下，以翻译为载体的文化交流研究突显重要。

渥太华大学翻译学院已有四十年翻译专业教育历史，是国际著名学者所在地，具有法语、英语双语教学特色，本科、硕士、博士全面的教育体系，翻译研究和翻译教育一直处于国际领先水平。
