清宫末代郡主裕德龄：教光绪学英文 做慈禧翻译

结局：在光绪和李莲英帮助下摆脱封建婚姻

说实在话，慈禧还是真心喜欢德龄郡主的，长辈喜欢一个女孩子，就想给她许个好人家。在慈禧看来，大臣荣禄就是户最好的人家，他们家的公子巴龙就是德龄最好的老公。思想西化的德龄很不待见这桩婚事，德龄在回忆录里写得很隐晦，只说对方是“某亲王”。

慈禧却将德龄郡主的拒绝理解为惧怕未来的婆婆，于是安慰说：实在怕婆婆的话，就住在宫里头，有我在一日，你婆婆就不敢一日欺负你。德龄还是拒绝，慈禧不免觉得没面子，于是生气，不过还好，后果不严重，慈禧一直有礼貌地克制着自己的情绪。

德龄想到了李莲英，“盖宫内诸人，能左右太后者，惟李一人而已。”有些人，看上去很猥琐，甚至你觉得和他说句话，打个招呼都很难受，然而，山不转水转，很有可能你有求他的时候。

德龄苦苦哀求李公公想办法，李公公说了声“尽力”。果然，他一“尽力”，老佛爷就不再提这桩婚事了。另外，光绪同学也帮了德龄老师一把，就在慈禧提亲提得最厉害的时候，光绪建议德龄去天津采办年货，毕竟是皇帝，这点权力还是有的，德龄由此也躲过一次尴尬的提亲。

1905年，德龄以父亲病重为由，请假离开皇宫。慈禧也恩准了，临别那天，宫里人哭得泪人儿一般，慈禧也是这泪人儿当中的一个，一口一句“记得回来啊”。光绪也很神伤，用英文说了一句：“Good luck.”殊不知，师徒二人在英语课上曾有过政治观点的交流，光绪希望德龄能感化慈禧变法，也向老师透露过想去欧洲考察，甚至参观万国博览会，但一切成空。

曾为抗日救国出力

出宫后的裕德龄，不再回宫，因为再回宫，那个她效力过的王朝已经覆灭；随后，她嫁给外国驻华使节，再后来她用英文在报刊上发表小说《清宫二年记》，引起轰动，秦瘦鸥等人又将这些翻译成中文。接下来，裕德龄跟随中国一个更重要的女士:宋庆龄，为抗日救国四处奔波。到最后，1944年，这位58岁的前清郡主在加拿大死于车祸，惜哉！
