日语中“僕”和“私”的区别是什么？

先说一下私
在职场中，如果尚未成为熟识到朋友关系的同事，必须用这个词。发音有两种——わたし和わたくし，其中わたくし是更礼貌的说法。在面对客户或者上级的时候，通常使用わたくし，而不使用わたし。也有人任何时候都用わたくし的。
另外，根据日语的规则来说，通常女性只能用这个词作为第一人称。但随着时代的变迁，比较野性的女性越来越多，所以这一条规则渐渐快要名存实亡了。但大多数步入社会的女性还是只用这个词的。（至于あたし、あたい之类的不过是此词的音变。）
作为男性，经常使用这个词的人，通常是希望让自己显得比较有教养，并对他人表示尊敬。
再来谈谈僕
这个第一人称代词按规则来看是只有男性使用的。但一些年轻女性现在也在用。另外歌曲中经常会出现。
作为男性，除了这个词，还有一个俺（おれ）可以用。相比使用俺的人，使用僕的人有点孩子气、书生气、可爱的感觉。也就是那种戴着眼镜，温文尔雅的男性。或者是小孩。比如《机器猫》里面的主角机器猫，自我介绍就用「僕、ドラえもんです。」，而那个到处欺负人的大胖子（各种译法，不知道应该叫啥名），则使用俺。
另外，一些年长的日本男性倾向于使用僕，个人感觉是历史原因。因为早年的日语里这个词是最普遍的第一人称用词。毕竟，我们现在看到的现代日语是二战之后才定型的，所以有些用法上的历史痕迹是很自然的。
