西语翻译家孙家孟去世

4月4日，著名西语翻译家孙家孟因病去世，享年79岁。孙家孟曾翻译大量西语文学名著，被称为巴尔加斯·略萨的“御用”翻译之一，他生前的最后一部译作正是这位诺贝尔文学奖得主于2010年出版的新作《凯尔特人之梦》。

译著等身，游刃有余

孙家孟1934年出生于天津市，1957年毕业于北京外国语学院西班牙语系，毕业后先后于外交学院和南京大学从事西班牙语教学工作。南京大学西语系副主任顾红娟正是孙家孟的学生，“他教过我精读课，孙老师教学严谨，对学生要求严格，但教学之外他把学生当成自己孩子一样看待”。顾红娟说，和孙家孟谈起上世纪80年代曾上过他课的学生，“一说名字他便知道是哪个年级的。”在顾红娟眼中，孙家孟是一个地地道道的学者，一生过着平淡的生活，除了学问之外没有其他欲望，“是我们所有人的榜样。”

孙家孟译著等身，曾完整翻译巴尔加斯·略萨的小说《绿房子》、《潘达雷昂上尉与劳军女郎》、《酒吧长谈》、《谁是杀人犯》等，以及《堂吉诃德》和科塔萨尔的《跳房子》。

同为西语翻译家的赵德明与孙家孟相交几十年，曾共同翻译《略萨全集》。在他看来，孙家孟做翻译非常认真，“他翻译《绿房子》和《酒吧长谈》，对于其中的人名、地名，哪怕很小的地方也一定要落实具体的地理位置，而书中涉及的知识他也要一一查明，做出注释。”赵德明认为孙家孟也很讲究译文的好看与通顺，“他在翻译理论上也有自己独到的见解，就是当直译的时候直译、当意译的时候意译，并不拘泥于成规，但一定要讲究忠实，出来的译文一定要通顺畅达。”

遗作有望今年出版

孙家孟翻译的《堂吉诃德》被普遍认为是国内最好的译本，对此赵德明表示赞同，“首先他翻译的版本比较完整，其次文字很不错，读起来非常舒服。”但他最喜欢孙家孟的译著还是《潘达雷昂上尉与劳军女郎》，“他把那种俏皮、反讽、幽默表达得很好。还有书中时空的错位交叉其实很不好翻，当时西语文学的流派、手法在我们的读者看来是比较怪异的，但他处理得很好，让我们读得很明白。这本书出来之后，在中国作家中很抢手，他们都喜欢略萨的新手法，但这其实和翻译相关，翻译得好你才能闹得明白，做到这点是很不容易的。”

据悉，孙家孟的最后一部译作《凯尔特人之梦》有望今年出版。
