如何进行学术文献翻译？

问题补充：

正在受这个问题困扰。
通读了一遍，也看了相关文献，但是翻译起来还是比较费劲。

追问，一般英文文献翻译应该到什么地步？
要逐句翻译的那种？需不需要组织语言再创作？

p.s.不要误会成我是专职做翻译的，我是因为做课题涉及到需要文献翻译才问的。只是自己领域的几篇文献。

先确保你真的把原文读懂了，不仅仅是字面上的，
而是完全理解它在说什么，表达怎样的观点。

然后结合国内相关领域的表达方式来组织语言。
注意不要依主观取向随意添加原文没有明确传达的内容或删改，
更不要遇到似懂非懂的句子不经严谨查证就随意混过去。
也不建议大幅跳脱原文行文，除非你有绝对的自信不会造成错译、漏译、过译、曲译的问题。
谨记，你的职责是「为原作者忠实传话」而不是「消化吸收后再论述」。
措辞方面，鉴于英文学术文献往往采用复杂的句式结构，注意避免翻译腔。
除了特定术语表达外，建议选词以精准为前提，兼顾平实易懂，尽可能简洁。

初译完成后，抛开原文，以初读者的心态重新通读译文全文，
看看是否能读懂自己译文的每一句话都在讲什么，
论述是否符合基本的相关常识，与原文传达主旨是否一致，
句子、段落之间的逻辑关系是否成立、统一，等等。
这个步骤也可请对该领域有了解的朋友代劳。

最后，适当润色词句，即可。

至于是逐句翻译，还是传达大意即可，建议你直接询问你的负责领导，他们怎么要求怎么做。

如果你发现自己能读懂，翻译起来却难以下笔，那么问题很可能出在你的中文表达能力不足。
这种情况下，个人建议是多阅读一些相关领域内的原创中文文本（而非翻译过来的文本），从中把握语感，然后再应用到自己的翻译文本中。

要逐句翻译，很多时候要组织语言再创作，应该翻译到业内人士读起来不皱眉，不嘟哝，不叹气，至少不咬牙切齿在心中暗骂，“这特么是哪个小子翻译的？”

坦白说，我不赞成翻译学术文献。
在我看来，这样的文章翻译价值不大，虽然现在说了也是费话。可实际上就是这样，很少听说学术论文要翻译，好的论文，都用英语发表到世界著名期刊上了，业内需要看的人，好像也都会英语，因此没有必要翻译。
再说翻译也不可能短时间内掌握某个细分领域的所有专业知识，而这些知识储备又是翻译专业论文的前提条件。我专业以外的学术论文，我连看懂都很难保证，更何况还要翻译成母语。
我去年受朋友之托，帮他翻译一篇介绍德国高速铁路控制系统的德语论文，我整整拖了一年，无果而终，尽管后来把主要内容和关键信息翻译了给他，可我内心非常难受。一方面答应朋友的事情没有办好，另外一方面也是能力有限，要我把铁路控制系统的原理和专业词汇翻译成中文，是非常困难的一件事情，耗时耗力，典型的吃力不讨好。
因此，我赞成翻译在接单的时候，有所舍弃。要衡量下自己的能力，不要为了翻译而翻译。翻不好，反而砸了自己的招牌，得不偿失。昨天还有一个翻译公司联系我，让我做一期医学方面的口译，我不加思索就推辞了，因为我根本没有这样的知识储备，承认自己的不足和有限，不失为一种安全的策略。
术业有专攻，你可以在自己擅长的领域里选择自己能够胜任的翻译。
抱歉，我不能提供有价值的建议。

当然需要语言再创作啊。。。你只要翻译的达到两个标准就行了：1.关键词都翻译到了。2.你自己愿意读并且读的通顺。能做到这两点就不容易了。

每读完一句或几句，一段或一块儿内容……用自己理解后的语言组织编写出来……
