真正的诗歌不会被翻译损失和破坏

比利时诗人杰曼·卓根布鲁特(Germain Droogenbroodt)是今年上海作协“上海写作计划”8人成员之一，他从9月起将在上海居住两个月时间。在这些日子里，杰曼和其他作家一起在上海过日常生活、出席一系列文学活动。前晚，杰曼来到民生美术馆的“诗歌来到美术馆”活动，在中国人的中秋假期里，给上海读者念诗，讲述自己在西班牙的诗歌王国。
杰曼的“依萨卡”诗歌庄园
诗人北岛和杰曼·卓根布鲁特是多年的好友，在他那本《失败之书》中有一个章节写的就是这位比利时诗人。在《依萨卡庄园的主人》一文中，北岛为中文读者描述了更多“官方介绍”版之外的杰曼，比如，北岛说，杰曼发家致富靠的是把德国汽车倒卖到中国台湾，后来把公司卖掉才在西班牙亚利山大港附近的小镇阿尔梯亚(Altea)建起庄园，庄园叫“依萨卡”(Ithaca)，这名字来自希腊的一个小岛乡。杰曼在前晚的诗歌朗诵会上也向上海读者介绍了“依萨卡”的来历，“依萨卡是奥德修斯在外流浪很久终于找到的自己的家。我在菲律宾或其他地方写政治评论文章时署名就叫奥德修斯。”
“依萨卡”是杰曼的精神家园，后来也成了全世界诗人的大客厅，北岛从1990年代初就经常来到依萨卡做客。杰曼在阿尔梯亚和依萨卡办诗歌节，邀请全世界诗人来到这个小镇。“当初我邀请了包括他们（北岛、多多）在内的全世界20位诗人，初衷是想掀起一次诗歌运动。当时很多旅游节都用‘海岸’来命名，我们自称‘海岸国际诗歌节’，意在颠覆旅游节的模式。”杰曼前晚说的“海岸国际诗歌节”是1995年的事情，北岛在他的文章中也记录了下来，“三年后，即九五年春天，我再次来到依萨卡，‘海岸国际诗歌节’(La Costa Poetica)真的由杰曼自己拉开了帷幕。这回可把利丽安忙坏了，她身兼秘书、会计、司机、采购、厨师、导游。由两口子办的诗歌节，恐怕全世界绝无仅有。”
在北岛眼中，杰曼是个工作狂，除了写作翻译，办诗歌节，他还办了个小出版社。这些年，由他办的诗歌网站“POINT”在全世界都颇具影响力，POINT是Poetry International（国际诗歌）的简称，杰曼喜欢国际这个词，他还发起“行星意识”国际诗歌出版计划，现已出版近百种世界各地重要诗人的诗集。出生在比利时的杰曼现在定居于西班牙，但已经游历过几十个国家，光亚洲就来了70多次。他喜爱中国哲学，会读老子、孔子的作品，也非常爱印度哲学，《喜马拉雅宁静的早晨》就是他在印度偶然间听到一阵笛声之后的作品，“后来有人告诉我这阵笛声其实来自电视机，还好那个时候这首诗已经写好了。”
杯酒中发起“新感觉主义”
在烛光和吉他声中，杰曼用荷兰语朗诵《追忆》，开始了前晚的诗歌朗诵，“翻越数不胜数的塔尖/钟声齐鸣，着了魔/山峦一片金黄/沿着山坡，袅袅上升/散开，宛若烟花”。“你们听到教堂的钟声了吗？”杰曼问观众。杰曼的诗简短、安静，他一口气连续朗诵了10首诗，跟大家聊了会天后，又连续读了七八首。
杰曼说到了当年他和北岛等诗人发起的所谓“新感觉主义”运动，“当时我们想要掀起一场新的诗歌运动，并把它命名为‘新感觉主义’。正谈论的时候有个朋友给了我们一大瓶酒，北岛和多多担心谈话前喝酒会影响谈话质量。第二天他们对新感觉主义有了更新的阐释，但酒也没了。”关于酒的这个段子，北岛的文章中也有自己的版本，那是1992年冬天，“待三杯酒下肚，他（杰曼）痛斥当代诗歌的无病呻吟，提及葡萄牙诗人佩索阿倡导的‘感觉主义’，嚷嚷着要搞一场新的诗歌运动，多多和我齐声响应，于是‘新感觉主义’(New Sensationism)在依萨卡庄园诞生了。说干就干，杰曼准备宣言，找来笔墨和日本纸灯笼，让我把这旗号写在上面。一激动，他又奔向酒窖，拎回两瓶二十多年的陈酒，举杯祝贺。我有些不支，周围的菩萨天使旋转起来。”
关于诗歌，杰曼前晚说：“写一首诗就像寻找一个新的现实。上帝和其他神祇不可见，写诗帮助我们构筑一个新的现实。我们需要在生命深处寻找不可见但可被感知的那些存在。单个字在成为诗歌之前也像流水一样没有任何形状，流水寻找器皿而具有形状，就像语词在构造规律中成为诗歌。”杰曼还说：“真正的诗歌就是不会被翻译损失和破坏的部分。”可是诗歌的功效有时也是神奇的，杰曼前晚提到了他在一次开往布达佩斯的火车上的奇遇。他在火车上遇到一位妇人，当杰曼告诉她自己是个诗人后，那位妇人让他背一首诗，杰曼当下只记得这个句子：“没有影子/比它的光线更长。（北岛译）”杰曼还留下了自己的名片。几个月后，这位妇人找到了杰曼的POINT网站，并留言说这个句子拯救了她，因为当时是她最糟糕的时候。在北岛的《依萨卡庄园的主人》一文结尾，同样提到了这一励志的诗句，他最后写道，“依萨卡的太阳在等待你……”
