瑞典翻译家陈安娜：莫言获诺贝尔奖的重要推手

莫言有些语言很难翻译

陈安娜坦承，接触莫言的作品《红高粱家族》纯属偶然。“我最早是在书店里看到了葛浩文的英文译本，觉得很不错，那时在瑞典找中文书不容易，后来才买到了中文版。因为觉得很有意思，就试试翻译吧。翻译这本书的时间蛮长的，因为翻译不是我的专业，我还有别的工作，而且那时没跟出版社签合同，就是自己慢慢译。”

陈安娜的中文功底、翻译水平和创造力无可争议。但由于莫言写作的方式独特，文中有大量富于生活气息的语言，乡土气味很浓，且很幽默，陈安娜翻译起来有时也很犯难。她曾调侃说：“中国的语言很丰富，特别是有一些骂人的话翻译起来很难，而且中国人的骂人方式同我们的很不一样。”

陈安娜对翻译工作十分认真，不放过任何难译的章节和文字。这一方面使瑞典文学爱好者读到了莫言的作品，另一方面为诺贝尔文学奖评委会提供了评审莫言的优质材料。

当莫言获得诺贝尔文学奖的消息正式公布时，陈安娜十分淡定，丝毫没有飘飘然，更没有将莫言获奖归为她的功劳。面对各方赞誉，她说：“诺奖评委们研究一位作家时会收集各种译本。他们不光看我翻译的莫言作品，还看德文版、英文版、法文版等，然后才开始讨论。所以，不能说没有我的翻译莫言就不会获奖。”作为瑞典文版的翻译，她在第一时间向莫言作品的英文译者葛浩文致敬：如果没有他，莫言的影响力恐怕难以进入西方。

美国著名汉学家和翻译家葛浩文早在1993年就翻译出版了莫言的获奖代表作品《红高粱家族》，这个英文译本虽然语言流畅、情节动人，但并没有立刻引起文学奖评委们的关注。直到陈安娜用瑞典语翻译出版了《红高粱家族》《天堂蒜薹之歌》和《生死疲劳》后，评委会才将莫言锁定为2012年文学奖得主。所以，与许多已故的中国著名文学家相比，莫言是幸运的。评委马悦然在接受本报记者采访时曾提到，沈从文令人遗憾地于1988年逝世，否则他将成为获得诺贝尔文学奖的第一位中国人。
